Released on Stones Throw Records early this year, Los Angeles-based hip-hop producer Knxwledge gives the lo-fi experimental hip-hop community a 22 track album, featuring his collaborations with Anderson .Paak as the duo NxWorries, as well as Durand Bernarr, and Rose Gold. These short yet satisfying snippets of songs achieve a refined balance between both quality and quantity and give us unique piano arrangements resembling jazz influence, some gospel vocals, funk undertones, and even enlightens us with some R&B beats.

It’s a well-done and zealous blend of various elements executed in an uplifting style that ties it all together and satisfies the soul making us reminisce on a warm humid sunset overlooking the city. Knxwledge delivers us some clean beats that fulfill our ears for any mood on any given day. If you don’t go to church, play this album on a Sunday and you’ll get what you need. Even though the entire tracklist is a literal statement, my recommended tracks are “don’tbeafraid,” “do you,” “howtokope,” “solivelife,” “makeitliveforever,” “don_tgottabe,” and “minding my business.”

If you’re in search of something easygoing to stream and chill to this summer, Knxwledge has actively been releasing more music on his bandcamp since 1988, so don’t sweat on running out of beats to listen to by the innovative producer.
